Martina Clavadetscher tells the story about Ada Lovelace, daughter of Lord Byron, considered the world's first programmer.

Written in two parts, the play first delves into the life of a woman who showed remarkable resilience in a male-dominated scientific world. The second part takes place in a futuristic research laboratory, where three scientists are working on a humanoid robot. Ada Lovelace’s trailblazing ideas are given a dystopian twist: after the robot experiences a sexual assault, it becomes autonomous and ultimately takes revenge on those who seek to control it.

"Maike Bouschen succeeds in translating the play into actions that fully draw the audience into a thought world beyond reality, raising questions that hit close to home today. Where do we stand on gender equality? How do we judge or condemn scientists, eccentrics, prodigies, dreamers? How can AI become autonomous, and what harm could it cause?"
